As far as beauty goes, Lolo Jones is without a doubt a stunning woman. She is also an exceptional athlete. But what draws me most to her is the fact that she is 29 and a virgin.
I read an article about how she has trouble dating because men realize she is serious about not having sex before marriage and then stop calling her. That both shocked and saddened me because, frankly, I cant believe we live in a world where purity is frowned upon.lol!
This is a woman who has decided that she loves herself enough to stay pure for not just her God, but her future husband. By all accounts, that is extremely commendable, and admirable. I wish I could explain this concept to young people these days.
Our declining moral standards, video girls, girls who sleep around, party girls etc have ruined it for the rest of us.
What women need to realize is that men in the past were gentlemen, respectful and treated women better because the women demanded it. We are the ones who set the tone. The right man will wait and will respect and be good to you. If you set the bar high, the right man will do whatever it takes to meet it.
I know as women we want to be desired. We are all human and we want love. But sex does not equal love. And all those one night stands, hook ups, sex buddies are not only beneath you, they cheapen you. You, yes you reading this, deserve better. You are worth more than that. Theres a saying I like to share because I think it best sums up what im trying to say:
Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree. The men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don’t want to get hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t so good but easy. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top because they value quality.”
And thats how you need to look at it. You are quality. You are worthy. You deserve that man who will climb to the top of the tree to get you.
If you have had sex outside of marriage or a loving relationship, consider this your wake up call. Today can be a new start for you. You can vow to yourself that you will wait for the right person to come along before you lay down with anyone again. Do it for whatever reason you see fit, or just do it for yourself.
It’s taken a long time but I have finally learned that our bodies are sacred. This sacred body of mine will not settle for anything less than what it deserves. I want to have sex with someone who loves me. Someone who will lay there with me after and tell me they do. Someone who is worthy of not just this body, but my love. If that person never comes along, that’s fine by me. There are far greater things in life to enjoy, and im surrounded by so many friends and so much love I barely care.
I dont wanna sound preachy and put anyone down. Im just saying that the only way we will change men is if we start demanding more of them. You would be shocked at how quickly they ‘act right’ under those circumstances.
I would also like to say that its not all men. There are still plenty of good men out there who respect women. I for one salute them and wish them luck in their quest for their good woman.

I know some people wont agree with it and personally, I didn’t really care for it either but I post based on requests and The pictures I post are submitted by other cheerleaders.
I would also like to point out that I have not insulted anyone in these pictures and have in no way disrespected any programs. If you read what I have written„ there is nothing derogatory about individuals athletes. Strictly the uniforms. That doesn’t make them bad athletes. In fact, in some posts I have mentioned that I respect the program and think some of these teams have exceptional athletes. Your cousin may well be one of them.
And finally, people are entitled to their opinions. Just because people say things you don’t like doesn’t mean they don’t have a right to say it. The funny thing is you are probably the sort of person who watches or reads articles about the top ten worst dressed celebrities and think it’s entertaining but god forbid we do that in cheer.
This is a short term post so one that will only stay up for a few days. But that’s coz that’s my choice. At the end of the day, unless your cousin designed, created and distributed the uniform, I think he or she will get over it. I’m not taking digs at the athletes or their programs. Just the uniforms.
Finally, I am a competitive cheerleader and coach myself and my own uniform has appeared on a similar list in the past. I didn’t care then and wouldn’t care now. Don’t talk to me about the sport. I know what it takes and I respect every athlete irrespective of their ability level coz I know how hard this sport is and what it takes to be the best. I would never do a Derogatory post about the sport that I love. I do however have the right to have an opinion on a uniform and you don’t get to come here and berate me for it. If you don’t like it, don’t follow me, reblog or like my posts. I am just as entitled to have a view on a Cheerleading uniform as anyone else. And more importantly, so what if I don’t like it? Doesnt mean other people won’t. Stop worrying about little old me’s opinion and file this under #firstworldproblems. Go be an advocate for a real issue.
